Boise Airport Director Rebecca Hupp said the airline’s decision to begin service to and from Boise is a bet on the city’s future and a validation of the airport’s viability and infrastructure.
When Allegiant purchased Boeing 757 aircraft for its nonstop flights from the continental United States to Honolulu, Boise was among the first airports to inquire about the service, spokesman Brian Davis said.
Honolulu service will begin Feb. 10 with introductory fares starting at $180 one way. Las Vegas service will begin Oct. 26 with introductory fares starting at $62 one way.
"The only thing, I think, that could make this better is for the mayor and his family to be on the inaugural flight to Honolulu,” Bieter joked at the announcement ceremony Tuesday.
The introductory fares are limited and must be purchased by Aug. 14 for travel by Jan. 15 for Las Vegas and April 16 for Hawaii. Visit www.allegiant.com for booking and flight information.
