  • Idaho Power Featured in United Airlines Magazine  The airline’s in-flight magazine, Hemispheres, includes a 25-page insert each month called Dossier that focuses on a particular state. The October issue is all about the Gem State and features Idaho Power.  Idaho Power President and CEO Darrel Anderson was among six people featured as innovators, and he shared his thoughts about Idaho Power’s affordable rates, our uniquely “green” and hydro-heavy generation portfolio and our nearly 100-year-old history. The piece featuring Anderson can be found on page 8.
  • Among the Nation's Top Utilities For the fourth year in a row, Idaho Power was ranked among the “Best Energy Companies” in the U.S.  Idaho Power’s rank has improved in the Public Utilities Fortnightly “Fortnightly 40” with a #6 ranking for 2016, up 5 places from 2015. Idaho Power was ranked 39th in 2012, 29th in 2013, 17th in 2014, 11th in 2015.

Idaho Power obtains energy from a diverse set of generation resources, long-term power purchase agreements, and short-term market purchases. The estimated fuel mix for Idaho Power's resource portfolio (2014) is: 43% hydropower, 8% Natural Gas, 11% Wind, 35% Coal, & 3% Geothermal & Other.
