Our Team
BVEP’s Executive Director Clark Krause is a barbecue fiend. Cherishes sharing a chairlift ride or a mountain bike trail with a friend. And he loves showing off his signature shuffle at local bluegrass shows. Like his dachshund-poodle mix — nicknamed “The Sergeant”— Clark wants to be friends with everybody.
He’s had a storied career building connections with all kinds of people, starting in his first role with Ford Motor Company in the automotive industry, to his later work in Utah’s ski industry.
From there, he turned his talents over to 5 years as the Economic Development Director for Cedar City in the Red Rock country of Southern Utah. Clark then moved to New Mexico to become President and CEO of the New Mexico Partnership; an organization charged with leading the state of New Mexico’s economic development efforts. During his New Mexico tenure he led a team that attracted over 60 new companies and 15,000 jobs to the Land of Enchantment.
Clark first found himself in Boise for a weekend during his six-year stint in New Mexico. After that Sunday night on 8th street, a downtown bustling with families hanging out with their kids and dogs, the city got stuck in his head. Years later, when the position opened at Boise Valley Economic Partnership, Clark leapt at the chance.
Since then, Clark has become a driving force behind the Boise Metro’s ongoing success. He’s served on dozens of national sales missions promoting the region and making Idaho a top contender for economic development projects across the nation.
He serves on the board of Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area and Southwest Mountain Biking Association, with a love for the outdoors and long standing friendships with its stewards. When he’s not out making Boise a better place to live, you can catch Clark – nearly every morning – enjoying oatmeal and a latte at the Flying M. He’s also on a lifelong quest to discover the planet’s best donuts, pizza, and BBQ, especially after a long mountain biking trek with his partner Shelley.
A Boise native, Beth Ineck, is passionate about the Idaho outdoors, data, and creating vibrant communities through economic development.
As an eight-year-old entrepreneur mowing lawns into perfect grids for her business “BJ’s Lawn Fairies” Beth developed a passion for seeing business succeed. Early on she grew hungry for a career strengthening the Boise region and cemented a lifelong goal to drive her city’s economic destiny.
Over nearly twenty years in economic development, Beth has worked at the local, regional and state level. Prior to joining the Boise Valley Economic Partnership in July 2021, Beth served as the Economic Development Director for the City of Nampa. In her tenure with the City of Nampa, Beth oversaw two major downtown redevelopment projects and secured millions in financing for Library Square and the Nampa Public Safety Building. She actively managed the business recruitment, retention and expansion efforts for the city. In the last ten years during her time with both the City of Nampa and the Boise Valley Economic Partnership, Beth has worked with community partners to secure over 8,000 new jobs and nearly $17 Billion in new investment from over 30 companies locating and expanding in the Boise region. These efforts have been recognized by numerous organizations including Idaho Smart Growth, the Idaho Business Review’s 50 Women of the Year 2016 Honorees, and the Idaho Economic Development Association’s Professional of the Year for 2020. In short: she’s the real deal.
Outside of her love for spreadsheets and growing the Boise economy, Beth makes time to travel with her husband and two teenagers, from Spain to New York and everything in between. She has a deep appreciation of the Gem State’s sweeping landscapes and spends as many hours as possible with her family and goldendoodle, Koda, in the Idaho outdoors hiking, paddleboarding and hiding out at her cabin in Silver City.
There is no person better equipped for her role steering economic development in Boise. She encapsulates the unique drive and kind spirit of the local community.
Sierra White
Director of Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships
Sierra White, our Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships, full time dog-mom and Top Ramen lover (yes we mean the $0.25 kind from the store), has quickly established a deep enthusiasm for Boise.
Originally from Reno, Sierra moved to the Boise Metro in 2019 and joined the BVEP team in July of 2021 as the Events and Marketing Manager. Within two years, Sierra was promoted to the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships, where she has assisted in outreach efforts related to supplier & vendor recruitment, supporting the $15 billion Micron expansion project. Additionally, she developed a regional cultural ambassador group & supporting initiatives to better assist global companies in relocating to the Boise Metro. Her previous experiences in marketing & events include managing digital marketing operations and strategy for 20+ clients at a local marketing agency, and managing 50+ annual clients/promoters through large scale event logistics at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho.
Sierra relishes the relationship-building pieces of her work. She naturally creates ties wherever she goes, whether that’s in one of Boise’s local breweries, or adventuring in one of the 16 countries she’s visited. She’s tight with her family and runs a regular fantasy football league with friends she’s known from 4th grade onward. To keep active, she’s a big fan of a casual hike around Boise’s winding trails alongside her fiancé and sweet, fluffy, toy-motivated, goldendoodle Jasper.
Sierra is also an avid volunteer. She’s the current Board Chair of Girls on the Run, a former Marketing Chair for Boise Young Professionals, and a recent addition to the board for Go Lead Idaho – an organization to empower women in leadership throughout Idaho. Sierra has been recognized by Idaho Business Review’s – Accomplished Under 40 and was named the 2021 Young Professional of the Year by Boise Young Professionals.
Sierra exemplifies the warmth, friendliness, and service-minded effort that form the beating heart of Boise’s community spirit. We’re more than proud to call her a vital part of the BVEP team.
