BOISE, Idaho (January 21, 2015) – With the new year comes new board leadership for the Boise Valley Economic Partnership, the regional economic development organization for Southwest Idaho. Mark Tidd, CEO/Owner of Title One, will assume the role as the 2015 Board Chair. Tidd takes the reigns from 2014 Chair Dave Self of St. Luke’s Health System. Mick Wiskerchen of Micron is the Vice-Chair.

Tidd has been building and leading service-related organizations for more than 25 years. He is affectionately referred to as “Coach” by his colleagues, not only because of his history as a U of I defensive back on the football field, but also because of his strategic, charismatic approach to leading teams in business. Tidd is an active participant in the community, giving time to BVEP along with the TOK and US Bank Advisory Boards, and previously serving as a director with the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Children’s Home Society of Idaho.

“The Boise Valley Economic Partnership has seen great momentum in the last year,” Tidd said. “Thanks to leadership within the organization and collaborative efforts with our partners in the business world, at Idaho Commerce and in City Halls across the Valley, we’ve had some big wins — most notably the passage of the Tax Reimbursement Incentive. I look to continue that forward movement and growth.”

“Mark and Mick have been invested in the economic development world for many years,” said Clark Krause, executive director of BVEP.  “We’re confident their leadership, guidance and expertise will help us secure some major wins for the valley in the coming year.”
