BVEP and Micron Host Prospective Supplier Event

On June 21, BVEP and Micron Technology hosted over 400 individuals from nearly 300 companies at its Micron Prospective Supplier Event. This half-day gathering aimed to connect local, regional and diverse suppliers with an overview of the Micron Boise fab project and provide opportunities to support the immediate phase of construction.

Each attending company may be selected to provide future support through design services, general contracting, skilled labor trades, construction materials, construction support services or manufacturing tool installation. Attendees learned about the immediate bidding opportunities over the next six months, including details about the pre-qualification process, how to register as a diverse business, and how to access available resources to foster business growth.

The event also provided an excellent opportunity to network with the Micron procurement team and learn about Micron’s commitment to supplier diversity and inclusion. Micron’s dedication to supplier diversity was evident, as they continue to advance opportunities and build mutually beneficial partnerships with businesses majority-owned by women, historically underrepresented communities, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and veterans. By fostering connections and promoting inclusivity, the Prospective Supplier Event exemplified Micron’s commitment to creating a diverse and thriving business community.
