Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was raised in Reno, NV and moved to the Boise Metro about 6 years ago. With a background in events and marketing I was so excited to dive into the economic development world and really help to showcase to a national audience what an incredible place the Boise Metro is to live and work. I love my job, but my favorite thing is getting to go home to a greeting from my 4-year-old golden doodle, Jasper, and my fiancé!
What position do you hold at BVEP?
I am the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Partnership and have been with the BVEP team for about 4 years.
Which aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?
It has been so rewarding to truly get to grow into my newer position. I will always love managing marketing and events but really getting to be a part of the community and work with the incredible people who represent it is what I enjoy most.
What’s your favorite memory from your time at BVEP?
3 years ago our team traveled to San Francisco for a conference with several partners. We had a few hours before the conference started and we were able to all go explore the area together. It was fun getting to spend some fun time together exploring a new city with partners.
What is a fun fact that most of your colleagues don’t know?
I have traveled to 19 countries and spent time on 4 different continents. I would love to get to Asia and Australia in the next several years!
What is your favorite thing to do in Boise?
It sounds so cliché a bike ride along the greenbelt with a stop at a brewery or taco shop is a day well spent. Also, an early morning hike on an off-leash path with our pup is my favorite way to spend a morning!
What is your favorite thing about Economic Development?
I love that economic development really encompasses so many things. It is almost like this puzzle that all has to fit together perfectly to make a project work. It’s such a rewarding job getting to sell a metro area that makes strategic and intentional growth a priority.
