We kicked off the year with our first Stakeholder event at The Grove Hotel. We are so thankful for our partners at The Grove Hotel and their generosity in hosting us at their incredible venue. Our stakeholders enjoyed a delicious meal while listening to some of our amazing guest speakers. We started off the event by welcoming BVEP’s newest stakeholders, DEXIAN, CSHQA, and Sudler Companies. We were also very lucky to have some elected officials in attendance! Thank you to Mayor Stear, Mayor Wagoner and Mayor Simison for attending this event, we appreciate your support for our organization.
Wendi Secrist with the Idaho Workforce Development Council discussed Idaho Launch and the success the program has had so far. Following her, Beth presented BVEP’s 2024 Annual Report, highlighting the year’s project wins, including Exyte headquarters, FAMCO, Diversified Fluid Solutions, NEHP & Exyte Technology. Beth also shared data on the various project types BVEP has managed in 2024. Beth concluded with an overview on the 10-year TRI impact and provided statistics on the size of the labor force in the Boise Metro area.
We then heard from a panel of our Regional Economic Development Directors, who shared and discussed exciting new developments in their communities. The panel, moderated by our very own Clark Krause, began with discussions on the most rewarding aspects of their roles and their biggest accomplishments. The panel then shared their thoughts on the importance of economic diversification and public and private partnerships in their cities. Finally, the panel concluded by sharing their vision for their cities, and the Boise Metro Area over the next decade. Thank you again to Sean Keithly, Robyn Sellers, Curtis Calder, Stevin Jenkins and Morgan Treasure for being on this panel, and for being such amazing community leaders.
Thank you again to all our stakeholders for joining us at this event, we appreciate all of you! Don’t miss out on the Q2 Stakeholder lunch on April 22nd from 12-1:30 PM.
